ENGR Abubakar Kailani, the son of Director General, Confederation of All Progressives Congress Support Groups (CASG), Prof. Kailani Muhammad, has hailed the virtues of his father over conferment of Professorship.
Muhammad was conferred with Professor of Electrical/Electronics Engineering by the British American University.
In a vote of thanks, Kailani said, “in conferring this professorship, we not only acknowledge past achievements but also express our anticipation for the continued impact my father will undoubtedly have in the years to come”.
According to him, “As we celebrate today, let us recognize that the journey towards sustainable energy practices and climate resilience is ongoing, and with individuals like my father leading the way, the future looks brighter for Nigeria and our global community.
“Congratulations, Professor Kailani Muhammad on this well-deserved honor. May your continued endeavors inspire us all to strive for a more sustainable and resilient world”, he stated.
Mallam Kailani further stated that, “it is both an honor and a privilege to stand before you today on this momentous occasion, the conferment of the well-deserved professorship to a figure of tremendous intellect, dedication, and contribution to the field.
Today, we not only celebrate an academic milestone but also recognize the profound impact that this distinguished individual has had on the understanding of how energy sector decarbonization contributes to addressing climate change, specifically in the context of Nigeria
Our planet is facing unprecedented challenges due to climate change, and Nigeria is not immune to its impacts. One key area where we can make a significant difference is in the way we generate and consume power. The power sector is a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions, and by understanding and embracing decarbonization, we can pave the way for a more sustainable future.”, he said.
