Israeli Army Radio said about 100 rockets were fired into northern Israel over the past day, while Hezbollah said it attacked the Israeli settlement of Kiryat Shmon. There were no reports of injuries or serious damage.
An estimated 750,000 Israelis took to the streets in one of Israel’s biggest-ever protests as anger boils over at the government’s failure to bring those held captive home.
Organisers say there were 500,000 in Tel Aviv, with 250,000 others joining rallies in towns elsewhere in the country.
