TWO days to the Gubernatorial election, leaders of various political parties from the opposition are decamping to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Jigawa State.
Among the political parties that have shown their loyalty and support to the Gubernatorial Candidate of the APC in Jigawa State are; Malam Umar Namadi of inter party Advisory Council; a coalition of opposition parties under the leadership of Murtala Musa; a forum of local Government chairmen of the NNPP, led by the acting chairman of the ADC in the state, Dr Sani Mohammed and the all ANPP structures from Gwaram Local Government led by Alhaji Bello Baba.
According to a statement by the Special Adviser, Media and Public Relations, Habibu Nuhu Kila, issued on Thursday, the decampees were received by State Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar at the Government House, Dutse.
In their separate speeches, they informed the Governor that, they have seen the light in joining the APC as a result of progressive development executed by his administration in the state and their believe that the Gubernatorial Candidate of the APC Mallam Umar Namadi will sustain the tempo when elected as Governor.
Governor Badaru thanked them and promised that they will be accorded with all the rights enjoy by all the members of the APC.
