PRESIDENT Bola Ahmed Tinubu has celebrated the National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, on the occasion of his 65th birthday, describing him as one of Nigeria’s most principled reformers and a public servant whose contributions to national development remain significant and enduring.
Ribadu, a former presidential candidate and the pioneer Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), marks his birthday today, November 21, 2025.
In a congratulatory message sent to News Point Nigeria by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu hailed Ribadu as a security professional of exceptional discipline, courage, and integrity, whose lifelong dedication to building transparent institutions has helped shape the country’s modern governance structure.
The President reflected on Ribadu’s pioneering anti-corruption work, recalling how his leadership at the EFCC laid the foundation for what became Nigeria’s most influential accountability and law-enforcement institution.
Tinubu said Ribadu’s uncompromising stance against graft helped strengthen public confidence in the fight against corruption and set a national standard for ethical leadership.
“Since we struck a close relationship over 15 years ago, I have come to acknowledge and appreciate Nuhu’s honesty, forthrightness, and camaraderie,” Tinubu said.
“He is a patriotic, loyal, and candid individual, one whose commitment to our Renewed Hope Agenda has remained unwavering.”
Tinubu added that Ribadu continues to play a pivotal role in safeguarding the nation, especially in the face of evolving security challenges across the country.
“As he turns 65 today, I fervently pray that Almighty Allah will grant him good health and greater wisdom to continue serving our beloved country,” the President said.
