KANO State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has extended warm felicitations to Professor Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, Founder of Maryam Abacha American University (MAAUN), on the occasion of his 48th birthday, describing him as a distinguished education entrepreneur and a major force in the development of private higher education in Nigeria and West Africa.
The congratulatory message was contained in a statement sent to News Point Nigeria on Thursday by the Director General, Media and Publicity, Government House Kano, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.

“Professor Gwarzo has distinguished himself as an Eduprenuer whose passion for knowledge, innovation, and human capital development has transformed lives and communities,” Governor Yusuf stated.
He noted that the establishment of Maryam Abacha American University reflects Professor Gwarzo’s deep belief in education as a powerful tool for societal transformation, sustainable development, and global competitiveness.
Governor Yusuf further praised the institution for consistently upholding international standards in teaching, research, and character development, adding that MAAUN has become a hub for academic excellence and multicultural learning.
