THE Adamawa Progressive Elders Council has congratulated Barrister Idris Shuaibu following his election as the National Vice Chairman (North East) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing his emergence as a moment of pride for the state and a testament to his leadership capacity.
In a statement issued by its leadership, the Council, chaired by Mohamed Buba Marwa, lauded Shuaibu’s victory, noting that it reflects his longstanding dedication, resilience, and commitment to the growth of the ruling party and national development.
Marwa described the development as “a proud moment for Adamawa State,” emphasizing that Shuaibu’s election was both well-deserved and a recognition of his contributions to the APC over the years.
“Barrister Shuaibu’s emergence underscores his leadership abilities and the trust he has earned within the party,” the statement read. “As the immediate past State Chairman of the APC in Adamawa State, we closely observed how he navigated complex political challenges with tact and effectiveness.”
The Council highlighted Shuaibu’s track record during his tenure as state chairman, praising his ability to unify party members and steer the APC through difficult periods, ultimately strengthening its structure in Adamawa.
Marwa further expressed confidence in Shuaibu’s capacity to deliver in his new national role, describing him as a distinguished son of the state whose success reflects the confidence reposed in him by party stakeholders across the North-East region.
“We are delighted to see Barrister Shuaibu take on this critical responsibility,” he said. “His election is a clear indication of the party’s belief in his ability to contribute meaningfully to the progress of the North East and Nigeria as a whole. We have no doubt that he will serve with distinction.”
The Adamawa Progressive Elders Council also pledged its full support to the new APC National Vice Chairman, assuring him of its prayers and backing as he assumes office.
The group expressed optimism that Shuaibu would work tirelessly to strengthen the APC’s foothold in the North East, promote unity within the party, and advance the region’s political and developmental interests.
