After 32 Years, National Assembly Gets First Juma’at Mosque In Abuja

FOR the first time since the commencement of the National Assembly in Abuja in 1991, a befitting and permanent mosque for daily and Jumma’at prayers is to be commissioned on Friday, June 2, 2023.

Inaugurating the 7-man commissioning and planning committee in his office Thursday, the Chairman, Mosque Construction Committee and Senator representing Kano Central,  Senator Ibrahim Shekarau charges the members to work towards a successful and hitch-free commissioning.

Responding on behalf of the committee members, the committee chairman and Honourable member representing Yamaltu-Deba Constituency in Gombe state, Hon Engr Yunusa Abubakar assured on the commitment of members and thank the Almighty Allah for bestowing this Godly assignment on the members.

He further appealed to members to make necessary sacrifice due to short period of the assignment.

Other members of the committee include; Senator-Elect Nasiru Sani Zagon Daura, Hon Isiyaka Ibrahim, Ustaz Sadiq Bala Illelah, Pharm Mustafa Muhammad, Dr Sule Ya’u Sule while Haruna Ibrahim Shekarau is to serve as Secretary of the committee.
