FORMER Kano State Governor and the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has appointed Comrade Muhammad Garba as his Chief of Staff.
Garba was the immediate past Commissioner for Information in Kano state under the Ganduje administration. He had occupied the office for eight years in both of Ganduje’s tenure from 2015-2023.
Until his appointment as Commissioner, Comrade Garba was a former President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) and President of the West African Journalists Association (WAJA).
Garba was also Press Secretary to the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives in 1993, and Press Secretary to the then Deputy Governor of Kano State, Ganduje between 1999 and 2003.
A source in the party secretariat told this newspaper that, Comrade Garba has since assumed office.
