THE Kano State Public Complaint and Anti-Corruption Commission said on Tuesday that it had unsealed the 10 warehouses sealed last week for alleged hoarding of foodstuffs. TROOPS of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) have apprehended a 35-year-old “high-profile kidnapper known as Isah Abdul” in Durbunde in the Takai Local Government Area (LGA) of Kano State. In a statement on Tuesday, NAF spokesman, Edward Gabkwet, said the arrest was carried out on Monday evening. THE Nigeria Customs Service, Kano Area Command, says it has intercepted four trucks of food items as part of efforts to tackle smuggling. This is contained in a statement by the spokesman for the service, Saidu Nuradeen, on Tuesday, in Kano. He said that personnel of the service intercepted the vehicles transporting a significant quantity of food items intended for illegal export along the Hadejia – Taura – Ringim axis in Jigawa. A SUSPECTED kidnapper, Adamu Ismail has been arrested in connection with the kidnapping and killing of his neighbour’s son, Abdullahi Sani. GUNMEN last Friday abducted the a dozen commuters of an 18-passenger commercial bus near the boundary, between Akunu-Akoko in Akoko North West Local Government Area of Ondo State, and Ayere, in Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State.
