THE administration of Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has paid the N18 billion scholarship debts incurred by the previous administration of Rabiu Kwankwaso. Kano State Commissioner for Information, Mallam Mohammed Garba, made this assertion on the foreign scholarship programme initiated by Kwankwaso before leaving office in 2015. “When we came into power in 2015, we met huge unpaid foreign and domestic scholarships left behind by the Government of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and this gave us a lot of problems. THE Kano State Police Command has arrested a 45-year-old man in possession of 29 Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) at Dawakin Tofa LGA of the state. The spokesman for the police in the state, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, who confirmed this to journalists, said the suspect has been identified as Tasiu Abdullahi from Hayin Hago area of Dawakin Tofa LGA. A DISTURBANCE reportedly occurred at the All Progressives Congress (APC) rally earlier Thursday at the Rumuwoji playground in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
