THE Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule, has lost his son, Hassan Sule. News Point Nigeria learnt that, the governor’s son died in Lafia in the late hours of Thursday, January 26, 2023. The deceased who got married to his first wife, Hajiya Sule, in June last year was Governor Sule’s eldest son. Hassan died aged 36. THE Supreme Court on Friday restored former Akwa Ibom State Governor, Godswill Akpabio, as the senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress for Akwa Ibom North Senatorial District. THE Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC) has asked healthcare workers to maintain a high index of suspicion for diphtheria by being vigilant and looking out for symptoms of diphtheria. THE United States has disclosed plans to spend $68 million (N30, 940, 000, 000) to fight malaria in Nigeria by providing funds for monitoring activities that would eradicate the menace.
