FOUR South African police officers accused of assaulting and torturing a Nigerian on Friday made their first court appearance at the Boksburg Magistrates Court. The case has been postponed until February 7 when their formal bail hearing will take place. GHANA’S military has denied claims that its personnel were behind the killing of at least 10 civilians in the town of Bawku, in the north of the country, close to the border with Burkina Faso.
