TRAGEDY struck on Sunday in Shagari local government area of Sokoto State when five, out of a seven members of a family died after consuming a soup prepared with a local fertilizer popularly known as Gishirin lalle. AT least 250 houses were destroyed following a heavy downpour at Natsinta village in Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State. THE Katsina State Police Command has confirmed the killing of Sanusi Gyaza, an aide to the state governor, Dikko Radda. THE Taraba State government has issued a ban on the movement of cattle to and from the Mambilla Plateau in the Sardauna Local Government Area, following the confirmation of an outbreak of hemorrhagic septicemia, a deadly livestock disease. FOUR persons have died in a boat mishap at Dundaye community in Wamakko Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
