BAUCHI-GOMBE Road has once again cut off, leaving motorists, commuters, and traders stranded. This comes just weeks after heavy rainfall wreaked havoc on Kalajanga village, Kirfi Local Government Area of Bauchi State on August 19, resulting in the initial road closure. It was reported that palliatives were undertaken to reopen the road, providing temporary relief for travellers. However, the repaired section collapsed again on Monday. The road links Bauchi with four Northeast states of Gombe, Adamawa, Taraba, Borno and extends to the North Central states of Plateau and Nasarawa. See pictures below:

BANDITS have attacked worshippers in a Mosque at Saya-Saya village in Ikara Local Government Area of Kaduna State, killing seven people. Five of the victims were gunned down in the mosque, while the remaining two other victims were killed at different locations within the area. THE Gombe State Government has announced an increment in workers’ salary by N10,000 across board to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal. THE Kebbi Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NSC), on Friday, confirmed the death of two of its officers by gunmen, saying a manhunt had begun to arrest and prosecute the suspects.
