BANDITS on Wednesday night killed a Major of the Nigerian Army and seven other security operatives in Munya Local Government Area of Niger State. The bandits were said to have ambushed the security operatives in Igu village. THE State Executive Committee (SEC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kebbi State has approved the suspension of two former Ministers Barr Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, Alh Buhari Bala and five others with immediate effect. Kebbi PDP secretary Abubakar Bawa Kalgo announced the ex-Ministers were suspended with Haruna Saidu Dandio, Sani Bawa Argungu, Bala Abdullahi Dole Kaina, and Maryam Isah for alleged anti-party activities.  He said the suspension takes effect from Tuesday, March 14, 2023.

TWO chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bauch State, Saleh Gamawa and Aminu Gadiya have been found guilty of attempting to sway the 2015 election and were each given a two-year prison sentence. NO fewer than 26 persons suspected to be fishermen were shot dead in an attack by suspected Islamic State of the West African Province (ISWAP) militants in Gamborun Ngala local government area of Borno, security sources said last Wednesday night. SIX persons have been reportedly killed and fifty others abducted by gunmen in Rafi and Wishishi Local Government Areas of Niger State.
