SENATOR Abdul Ningi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been declared the winner of the Bauchi Central Senatorial District election. Ningi polled 104,878 votes to defeat his close opponent Uba Nana of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who got 84,621 votes. The result was declared by the returning officer, Professor Ibrahim Danjuma, in Darazo Collation and Declaration Centre in Darazo Local Government Area of Bauchi State. THREE ad-hoc staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Donga local government area of Taraba State have been abducted by unknown gunmen, News Point Nigeria gathered. A PREGNANT woman, identified as Shamsiya Ibrahim on Saturday slumped and died while waiting on the queue to vote in Tsafe Area of Zamfara State. THE Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has ordered re-election in nine polling units at Ganaja Village in Ajaokuta Local Government Area of Kogi. PRESIDENTIAL Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has emerged victorious at his polling unit in Jada, Adamawa State. KADUNA State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has accused the Central Bank of Nigeria of withdrawing N2 trillion from circulation and replacing the old notes by minting only N400 billion.
