A PRINCIPAL medical officer, Geidam Bulama, who was abducted 11 months ago by the Islamic State West African Province (ISWAP) in Borno State, has regained freedom. News Point Nigeria gathered that, Bulama was reportedly released in Gubio before he was moved to Maiduguri where he reunited with his family. It was not clear if a ransom was paid before his release. GOVERNOR Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya says the General  Hospital, Kumo under construction will be ready and handed over for public use before May 29, this year. THE Borno State Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hajiya Zuwaira Gambo, has raised concern over the high rate of pregnancy and procreation in Boko Haram victims’ rehabilitation camps in the state. The commissioner, who disclosed this before the Special Independent Investigative Panel on Human Rights Violations in Counter-Insurgency Operations in the North East (SIIP North-East), said some women usually get pregnant four months after deliveries. THE National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the 2022 November/ December Senior School Certificate of Examination (SSCE) results, with 57% of candidates scoring five credits and above. The Registrar and Chief Executive, Professor Dantani Wushishi, made the official announcement of the results at the NECO headquarters in Minna on Thursday, saying that a total of 60,133 candidates registered for the examination. Wushishi noted that 33,914 candidates representing 57.36% got five credits and above including English Language and Mathematics. THE Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefiele, says he has met with 15 bank executives and directed them to make the old 200 naira notes available from Thursday (today).
