SHELL will pay 15 million Euros (N7, 235, 195, 000) ($15.9 million) to communities in Nigeria that were affected by multiple oil pipeline leaks in the Niger Delta, the oil company last week Friday said in a joint statement with the Dutch division of Friends of the Earth. NIGERIA and other oil-producing countries in Sub-Saharan Africa are to expect dwindling oil revenues in the coming years as the world transitions from fossil fuels to cleaner energy, the International Monetary Fund says in a new report.
