THE Ogun State Government has directed school heads to ensure good health and safety of all learners and staff members to prevent the spread of Cholera within the school communities. Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof Abayomi Arigbabu, in a statement on Wednesday, said preventive measures have been put in place to control the spread of the disease in schools in the state. THE Federal Government, on Tuesday, announced the addition of 17 deep offshore oil blocks to the 2024 Licensing Round for oil fields in Nigeria. A 45-YEAR-OLD woman, identified as Abiodun, has set her 86-year-old mother ablaze after pouring petrol on her in Ondo City, Ondo West Local Government Area of Ondo State. AT least five persons have been killed in an outbreak of Cholera in Lagos State. The state’s commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, who disclosed this, announced that 60 persons sustained injuries in the outbreak. He said cases of severe gastroenteritis have been reported in communities around Eti Osa, Lagos Island, Ikorodu and Kosofe Local Government Areas. GUNMEN have killed a professor of law at Babcock University, Ilishan, Ogun, Yinka Olomojobi, and abducted two others in the Iperu area of the state.
