    Badaru: A Quintessential Leader

By Habibu Nuhu KilaJuly 29, 2023

A QUINTESSENTIAL leader is a person with character traits that distinguish him among people in leadership positions, although he has imperfections, makes mistakes, and sometimes fails spectacularly, these character traits define how he handle himself in both the worst of times and the best of times.

It is worthy to note that the sole yearning to serve one’s fatherland is innate and springs from an inner motivation to give all of what a leader embodies in life without fear or reservation. This is clearly seen in the stellar leadership of  Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, who is a stunning depiction of a quintessential, selfless, patriotic, committed, a compatriot and talented leader.

When he was the Governor of Jigawa State, he demonstrated uncommon competence, character, courage, credibility and compassion in discharging his responsibilities. He is no doubt a bridge builder and an embodiment of national unity.

It is for commendation and a greater higher responsibility that an appraisal is given a pride of place in a decent and developed society.      Governor Badaru Abubakar is a national treasure, who has justified the confidence the people reposed in him. His passion for transparency and accountability and the principles of value for money earned him a title of leader with a vision. We are proud to associate with his successes and milestone achievements.

He has always been trusted to be prudent, meticulous, considerate, fair and firm in planning and execution of any assignment given to him. The qualities that he is said to exhibit include interpersonal appeal, capacity to organise, energy to mobilise, deep understanding of party politics and cross-breed of the ideas of the young and old.

Badaru is a quite achiever, the type who does not believe in self-glorification but is an assiduous goal-getter. He mostly works silently but steadily, focusing on the target.

He is always calm, composed and carefully choosy in utterance if he has to speak at all. He will always be remembered as a performer per excellence who executed the mandate many thought was not executable on account of the many unforeseen hurdles on his path.

By commitment and consistency Badaru, abolished  security vote immediately he was sworn into office as a governor. He is a prudent and well detailed leader, with penchant for accountability and transparency. It is imperative to however state that our polity needs men like  Badaru as, before appending signature to anything, it must be present in the budget. Such action is a real time progression in our political developments.

Badaru as a Governor demonstrated focus and clear understanding of what good governance entails. Upon assumption of office, he decided to complete projects inherited from the previous administration. This is a significant development and policy strategy that deserves commendation. He realized that since these projects are important and relevant to the welfare of the people, completing them should be given a priority.

Prioritization is Badaru’s major achievement. Nonetheless whilst he gave priority to the completion of abandoned projects, he also embarked on the execution of new ones which are no less important in the welfare of the people.

Muhammad Badaru Abubakar achieved for himself resounding and highly respectable personal credits and qualities, and his service to humanity in public and private life is remarkable and memorable.

He has been an international businessman long before he joined politics. In fact, his business acumen and successes were the propelling factors that friends, relatives and associates saw in him that made them encourage him to become a partisan politician.
