In line with its set out goal of Make Edo Great Again (MEGA) agenda and capacity-building, the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Mrs. Adaze Aguele-Kalu visited the Benin Mall and urged the contractors to intensify their efforts to ensure timely completion and opening.
The commissioner, who was in the company of the Honourable Commissioner of Trade and Investment added that to avoid any delays in the project’s completion, Mrs. Aguele-Kalu encouraged the on-site manager to promptly reach out to her in case any challenges arise.

She further advised the supervisor to engage in Zoom meetings with the 39 tenants, ensuring their readiness for the commencement of business once the mall is operational.
The supervisor reported that the project is currently 70% complete assuring the Honorable Commissioner that the Mall will be ready for a grand opening in August.
Accompanying the Honorable Commissioner of Budget and Economic Planning Mrs Adaze Aguele-Kalu was the Permanent Secretary of Finance, Budget, Economic Planning, and Development, Mr Bernard Aigbe who also emphasized the need for expediency and efficiency in the ongoing work.
Other places visited were the proposed site for the Radisson Hotel and the Garrick Memorial Field.
