Police Lift 24-Hour Curfew In Kano

THE 24-hour curfew imposed by the Kano state government and the Nigerian Police Force, Kano Command, has been lifted in the state.

Thi is contain in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer of the State Command, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa made available to News Point Nigeria, Thursday.

This newspaper reports that the police on Wednesday imposed the curfew with a view to avoiding a breakdown of law and order following the Kano Governorship Election Petition Tribunal declaration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Nasiru Gawuna, as the winner of the March 18 guber election.
