Tinubu Replaces Maryam Shetty As Ministerial Nominee, Picks Keyamo, Mahmoud

PRESIDENT Bola Tinubu has replaced a ministerial nominee, Maryam Shetty, choosing two others – Festus Keyamo and Dr Mariya Mahmud.

This was revealed when Senate President Godswill Akpabio read out a letter by the President at Friday’s plenary session.

Dr Mahmoud was a former commissioner in the Ganduje administration.

President Bola Tinubu had on Wednesday sent an additional list of 19 nominees.

News Point Nigeria reported on Thursday that the ministerial nomination of Maryam Shetty from Kano State by President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday had continued to generate mixed reactions from Nigerians on social media, particularly, Twitter.

This newspaper reported on Wednesday that Tinubu forwarded an additional 19 names of ministerial nominees to complement the previously sent 28-man nominees earlier sent on August 2.
