THE governor of Kebbi State, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has been summoned by the Kebbi State House of Assembly to appear tomorrow Friday, January 27th, to defend himself over an alleged misuse of a loan of N18.7bn from the federal government.
This was revealed in a letter sent to the governor, dated January 26th, 2023, with reference: KBHA/LEG/01/VOL. XI, titled; ‘RE: FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OFFER OF BRIDGING LOAN FACILITY’, signed by the Acting Clerk of the House, Suleiman Shamaki and exclusively obtained by News Point Nigeria, Thursday.
The letter, which was attached with a signed attendance of 20 out of the 24 Honorable Members of the House, reads in full:

RE-FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OFFER OF BRIDGING LOAN FACILITY.
In view of your request for approval to the Kebbi State Government to borrow funds from the Federal Government dated 18th October, 2021 with reference No. GHBK/8/21/Vol.1.
2. That the Kebbi State House of Assembly has approved the sum of Eighteen Billion, Seven Hundred and Forty Six Million, Fifty Nine Thousand, Nine Hundred and Ninety Two Naira, Fifty Seven Kobo (18,746,059,992,57) through its resolution dated 18th October, 2021.
3. In line with its effort to ensure prudent management of state resources the House is requesting His Excellency to appear before the House to explain on how and where the funds were utilize on Friday, 27th January, 2023 by 10:00a.m.
