FIVE-TIME world champions, Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets, have booked their place in the semi-finals of the football event at the ongoing 2025 National Sports Festival (NSF) in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Abdulmuiz Adeleke, who scored the opener in Golden Eaglets’ 2-1 victory over Edo State on Monday, was once again the star of the show, netting a brace in Friday morning’s emphatic 5-0 quarter-final demolition of Ebonyi State.

Mohammed Imrana, who was also on target in the win over Edo, got on the scoresheet again. Destiny Samuel and Emmanuel Ochigbo completed the rout with one goal each, as the Eaglets cruised into the last four.
In the women’s category, the Flamingos were held to a goalless draw by Lagos State on Thursday but remain top of Group B with five points.
They face Enugu State, who are yet to register a point, in Friday evening’s final group game.
Delta and Lagos are trailing closely behind the Flamingos with four points apiece, setting up a tense finish in the group.
Over in Group A, Osun State leads the standings with seven points, followed by Ogun State with five points and Edo State with four.
