GOMBE State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya ( Dan Majen Gombe) has approved the appointment of Caretaker Chairmen for the Eleven (11) Local Government Councils in the State.
This was stated in a statement signed and issued by the Director-General of Press Affairs to the governor, Ismaila Uba Misilli, Tuesday evening.
According to the statement, the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi conveyed the Governor’s approval and announced the new appointees as follows:-
(i) Abubakar Usman Barambu – Akko LGA
(ii) Garba Umar Garus – Balanga LGA
(iii) Margret Bitrus – Billiri LGA
(iv) Jamilu Ahmed Shabewa – Dukku LGA
(v) Ibrahim Adamu Cheldu – Funakaye LGA
(vi) Aliyu Usman Haruna – Gombe LGA
(vii) Faruk Aliyu Umar – Kaltungo LGA
(viii) Ibrahim Buba – Kwami LGA
(ix) Salisu Shu’aibu Dendele – Nafada LGA
(x) Yohanna Nahari – Shongom LGA
(xi) Garba Usman – Y/Deba LGA
According to the SSG, all the appointments take immediate effect.
