GOVERNOR Muhammad Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa State has received Eight Labour Party State Assembly Candidates for this year’s election and member Arewa Presidential Campaign Council of the party who dumped their Party and their aspirations to join the All Progressive Party APC.
The Eight candidates are from Auyo, Kirikasamma, Bulangu, Malam Madori , Kafin Hausa, Birniwa, Guri and Kaugama constituencies.
In a statement by the Special Adviser, Media and Public Relations, Habibu Nuhu Kila, issued on Friday, Governor Badaru expressed his appreciation to them and promised that they will be carried along in all party activities and urged them to be loyal party members.
Earlier speaking at the Government House Dutse one of those decamped to the APC from LP Honorable Mohammed Makinta who was the Candidate for Guri constituency says they have come to realized that APC is the most credible political party and promised to work to ensure victory for the APC’s candidates in the forth general election.
While welcoming the new APC members,the State Chairman of the APC in the State, Alhaji Aminu Sani Gumel assured them that they would be accorded the rights and privileges enjoyed by old members.
He reiterated that, as bonafide members of the APC are entitled to all rights and privileges enjoyed by those they met in the party.
