USHAFFA community in the Bwari Area council of Abuja was on Wednesday morning thrown into confusion when gunmen suspected to be kidnappers stormed the community, killing a man and abducting his family members.
There is apprehension in the entire community as residents fear of being attacked.
According to one of the residents in the community, James Olahi, the incident happened behind the LGEA Primary School Ushafa, close to the popular Going-Park in the community.
He added that some persons stormed the community in the wee hours of Wednesday morning and started shooting sporadically for 30 minutes without being challenged by security operatives.
It was gathered that the deceased, simply identified as Mr Adegoke, was said to have struggled with the gun-wielding kidnappers before he was gunned down.
The daredevil attackers whisked away the wife and a cousin to an unknown destination.
However, the Federal Capital Territory, FCT police command spokesperson, DSP Josephine Adeh, is yet to comment on the attack.
