HOODLUMS hiding under the guise of End Bad Governance protest, Friday night, hijacked and looted a trailer load of fertilizer meant for Demsa local government area of the state.
Eyewitness account told this newspaper that the consignment was parked close to the palace of the Paramount Ruler of the area when the incident occurred.
According to the source, the trailer had waited there for hours to get directives from the council chairman on where to offload the consignment.
According to the source, while the consignment completely covered was waiting, angered people started guessing what was in the trailer.
” Before you know people started calling themselves and in a less distant time, a crowd had gathered and the looting spree commenced uninterrupted.
“As the looting progressed, other people from far and near got the wind of it and before you know the trailer load was emptied”, the source said.
The trailer load of fertilizer was sent to Demsa local government area by Governor Fintiri’s administration to boost harvest and reduce economic hardship.
