IAWPA Declares Ebonyi As Most Peaceful State In Nigeria

THE International Association for World Peace Advocates (IAWPA), through its International Spokesman, Ambassador Emmanuel Nkweke, has officially declared Ebonyi State as the most peaceful state in Nigeria.

This declaration highlights the state’s significant strides in maintaining peace, stability, and harmony among its citizens.

As a testament to its commitment to peace, the Governor of Ebonyi State will be recognized as an Eminent Peace Ambassador. This prestigious award will be presented during a ceremony at the Ebonyi Government House on Friday 20th December 2024. The recognition underscores the Governor’s extensive efforts in fostering an environment of peace and security within the state.

The association also applauded the Hon. Ifeanyi, commissioner of information and tourism for his award of Eminent Peace Ambassador and urged him to always promote the government of Ebony who he is serving with might, strength and vigor.

Ambassador Nkweke stated, “Ebonyi State has set a remarkable example in promoting peace, and we believe that acknowledging its efforts will inspire other regions in Nigeria and beyond to strive for similar goals.” The International Association Of World Peace Advocates IAWPA emphasizes the importance of collaborative efforts in building sustainable peace and enhancing the quality of life for all citizens.

Amb. Prof. Chidi Ehiriodo the International Director of the Association called on development partners and the international community to invest in Ebony State as the state’s peaceful nature would serve as a guarantee to any investment.

The decoration of the Governor His Excellency, Francis Nwifuru is expected to bring together dignitaries, stakeholders, and members of the community to celebrate this significant achievement and to promote ongoing dialogue on peace initiatives across Nigeria.

In a related development also,, the wife of the governor has been appointed as head of delegation to lead all female Eminent Peace Ambassadors in Nigeria to attend the United Nations Women Conference on the 69th Commission Of Status of Women at the UN Headquarters at New York on 10th March 2025 the statement also stressed that the association has made every registration to enable her participation at the event.
