PRESIDENT Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended warm felicitations to the Governor of Gombe State, Alhaji Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya, on the occasion of his birthday, commending his outstanding record of service, transformational leadership, and commitment to the welfare of the people of Gombe State.

In a message released on Thursday, October 9, 2025, by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga obtained by News Point Nigeria, Tinubu joined the governor’s family, friends, and political associates in celebrating what he described as a day that marks both personal milestones and visible developmental strides achieved in Gombe under Yahaya’s leadership.

President Tinubu lauded Governor Yahaya’s impressive strides in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and governance, describing him as one of the leading lights among the new generation of progressive governors committed to grassroots transformation.

The President particularly acknowledged the construction and renovation of 600 classrooms across the state, the upgrade of five legacy secondary schools, and the remarkable improvement in students’ performance in external examinations, which have earned Gombe a place among the best-performing states in northern Nigeria.

He also commended the governor’s focus on healthcare delivery, citing the establishment of fully functional primary healthcare centres in all 114 wards and the Go-Health project, a state-driven initiative that provides affordable medical coverage for vulnerable and low-income citizens.

“Governor Inuwa Yahaya has demonstrated foresight, compassion, and excellence in governance. His administration’s reforms in education, health, and infrastructure have touched the lives of ordinary citizens in meaningful ways,” President Tinubu said.

The President further applauded the governor for upholding the ideals of the Renewed Hope Agenda, the central policy framework of the Tinubu administration, which emphasizes inclusive development, social investment, and people-centered governance.

According to the statement, Yahaya’s policy direction mirrors the federal government’s vision of sustainable development, anchored on education for the youth, healthcare for all, and infrastructural growth to power local economies.

“Governor Yahaya has shown unwavering commitment to the Renewed Hope philosophy by placing the people’s welfare at the core of his administration’s policies,” the President noted.

“He is a shining example of leadership driven by service and accountability.”

President Tinubu prayed for Governor Yahaya’s continued good health, wisdom, and divine strength as he continues to steer the affairs of Gombe State toward greater progress and prosperity.

He urged the governor to remain steadfast in his service to the people and to continue contributing to the collective national effort to deliver better governance and improved living standards across Nigeria.
