JAMES Abiodun Faleke, a member of the House of Representatives, Ikeja Federal Constituency, has been named the preferred choice for the position of Chief of Staff in the incoming administration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The choice was named by a chieftain of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) and Director-General USIR North-West Project For Tinubu/Shettima, Hajiya UmmaSalma Isiyaku Rabiu in a press statement signed by the DG herself.
According to the DG, who is also a member, Grassroot Engagement And Orientation, Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, James Faleke’s loyalty, competence, capacity and political reach makes him the best candidate for the job.
the statement reads in part: “Nigeria has had serious challenges caused by the communication gap between the President, ministers and even State governors. This is an oppprtunity for the President-elect to get someone with an amazing skill of managing the relationship between President-elect, officials of government and the rest of Nigeria.
“Faleke, being a highly-experienced lawmaker can build a very cordial relationship between the executive, judiciary and legislative arms of government in the new dispensation.
“Faleke represents the new generation of Nigerian political class, politically savvy and intellectually vibrant. We are in a new, ideas-driven world and Nigeria’s Presidency therefore, needs a Chief of Staff in tune with modern system of democratic governance.
“In view of the forgoing, we urge the President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu to make sure he makes an informed choice for his Chief of Staff with loyal, proactive progressive and hale and hearty parliamentarian like Hon James Faleke.”
