THERE was jubilation in Kano on Wednesday, over the emergence of Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Nigeria’s President-elect.
Some members of the All Progressives Congress took to the street from Kano Government House to the Emir place to celebrate the victory.
The Tinubu Support Group members who were dressed mostly in T-shirts designed with the images of the president-elect were seen in their large numbers around the Kano Government House roundabout to Emir of Kano Palace, celebrating the victory.
They were joined by other residents who were obviously elated over the election of Tinubu.
The jubilation was organized by the Director of the North West Tinubu/Shettima campaign support group, Baffa Babba Dan Agundi.
Dan Agundi commended hundreds of agents that offered free service toward the victory of Tinubu during the last Saturday Election.
He also appealed to party members to come out in large numbers and vote for the party’s governorship candidate in Kano state.
The North West Director expressed hope that Nigerians would experience a new era of economic prosperity and infrastructural transformation when the president-elect takes over power.
According to him, the APC in Kano will win the governorship election in the state, assuring that Gawuna is the right man for the job.
