THE Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested suspended Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Godwin Emefiele, over terrorism charges less than an hour after his suspension.
News Point Nigeria reports that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has suspended Emefiele, from office with immediate effect,” the Director of Information, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation Willie Bassey said in a Friday statement.
A source in the Presidency, who spoke on condition of anonymity told this newspaper that Emefiele has been arrested by the DSS barely an hour after his suspension was announced.
