PROFESSOR Nentawe Yilwatda has been returned as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, while Surajudeen Basiru emerged as National Secretary at the party’s 4th Elective National Convention held on Friday night at Eagle Square, Abuja.
News Point Nigeria reports that they were announced by the Convention Election Committee as part of several officials elected via consensus.
President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and Speaker Tajudeen Abbas were present at the convention.
The convention, themed “Unity in Progress: Consolidating the Renewed Hope Agenda,” was organised by a planning committee led by a former Katsina State Governor, Aminu Masari, and former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Anyim Pius Anyim.
