IT was thrills and frills as Kano State Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf in company of his deputy Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo and other top government functionaries ushers in new year 2024 witnessed by mammoth crowd at Mahaha Sport complex.
Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf said year 2023 must be reckon with as people of Kano voted NNPP to pilot the affairs of the state acknowledging the contribution of youth and women during the elections period.
The Governor said year 2024 will be of massive physical and human development Projects that have direct bearing to the lives of people of the state and in tandem with the commitment to spread the dividends of democracy in the nooks and crannies of Kano.
He added that his administration will complete structures at Mahaha Sport complex to serve as a centre of entertainment, social and religious gatherings apart from sporting activities which is the primary focus of the complex.
Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf reiterated the zeal to project sporting activities for the teaming youth in the state and other sectors for rapid socio-economic development of the state.
He appreciated people of the state for the support and co-operation accorded to his government hoping for the sustainance of the tempo to forge ahead in taking the state to greater heights.
