THE lawmaker representing Nkwerre/Isu/Njaba federal constituency of Imo State express gratitude to friends, colleagues and associates that honoured him with a surprise birthday in Abuja over the weekend
At 46, he says “I dedicate this day to my mother, my siblings, my family and my constituency who stood by me right from my early days growing up when I began as a councillor in my ward”.
” I was a councillor before emerging as member of Imo State Assembly rising to become the Speaker during the tenure of His Excellency Rochas Okorocha”.
” This is my second appearance at the National Assembly and it is attributed to the support and goodwill of my constituency, if they have not seen the light in me they wouldn’t have voted, supported and nurtured me to grow this big as a federal lawmaker”.
“In my first term in the house of reps, the Speaker Hon Femi Gbajabiamila took me in his wings as a brother, friend and mentor, hone my skills and taught me leadership traits to which I remain eternally grateful. As Chief of Staff to President Tinubu he still show empathy by calling to remind me of my responsibilities as a law maker challenging me to do more, he is indeed a leader”.
On his relationship with Speaker Tajudeen Abbas and his Deputy Benjamin Kalu, ” Nigeria is blessed to have these two at the Red Chamber and I see a great future for our nation in law making due to thier knowledge and foresight”.
“As Chairman House Committee on Niger Delta Ministry, I assure those in the region of fairness and equity and more dividends of democracy. I have seen the impact of the Presidential Amnesty Programme under the interim administrator which is very impactful leading to peace, tranquilty in the region. The youths now aquire more skills, sponsorship, human capacity building and we see the impact today as oil production improved showing signs of more revenues in years to come for Nigeria “.
