A RETIRED senior civil servant and political aspirant, Hon. Muhammad Radhi Amin, has formally joined the race for the House of Representatives seat for Tarauni Federal Constituency after obtaining the nomination form of the African Democratic Congress.
News Point Nigeria reports that Radhi picked the nomination form on Wednesday ahead of the party’s forthcoming primary election.
The aspirant is expected to battle for the ADC ticket alongside former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Nasiru Baballe, who had earlier obtained his nomination form to contest for the same seat.
Muhammad Radhi Amin, popularly known as “O Musa,” hails from Daurawa Ward and retired from the Kano State Civil Service after rising to the rank of Assistant Director.
Speaking shortly after obtaining the nomination form, supporters of the aspirant described him as an experienced administrator with strong grassroots connections across Tarauni Federal Constituency.
The ADC, regarded by many political observers as one of Nigeria’s leading opposition parties, has continued to intensify efforts to strengthen its structures ahead of the next general elections as it seeks to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress.
