THE wife of the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Katsina State, Dr Dikko Umaru Radda, Hajiya Zulaiha Radda, has stated that her husband will end banditry, kidnapping and terrorrism in Katsina if elected governor of the state come March 18.
Mrs Radda made the statement on Thursday at the flag-off of a special humanitarian intervention project for IDPs in Katsina by the Office of the Senate President through the National Productivity Centre (NPC) with MUSVEC, in partnership with GREENADO for empowerment training and support; NEEM Foundation for psychosocial support and trauma healing and Nutri-K for nutritional support.
According to Mrs Radda, her husband truly understands the security problem and he has what it takes to bring an end to banditry in the state.
“My husband has continuously pledged that if elected, he will bring an end to banditry and kidnapping in Katsina even if it means paying with his life.
“I was sacred at first when he made that utterance but I have come to realize that, with public service, selflessness, discipline and humane sacrifice is key and these are all attributes he has in abundance.
“On my part, I have always tried as much as I can to bring succour to these IDPs in Katsina and we will continue to do more whether or not we win this election. The problem of displaced persons is everyone’s business.
This is no time to play politics, we have all listened and seen some of the testimonies from these victims and we all know that, there hundreds of such victims in Katsina state and I want to assure them all, very soon, they will all go back to their villages and their farmlands with my husband as governor of the state.
“On this note, I wish to sincerely thank the lead coordinator of this noble project, Hajiya Fatima Mamman Daura, she has demonstrated tremendous kindness, warmth and thoughtfulness with this project. May Allah reward her abundantly”.
