    Ramadan: Minister Goronyo Distributes Food Items, Cash In Home town

    THE Minister of State for Works, Rt. Hon. Bello Muhammad Goronyo, Esq. has flagged off the distribution of the annual Ramadan package to households in Goronyo Local Government Area (L.G.A.), to complement the efforts of both the Federal and State Governments, especially during this holy month of Ramadan. The items distributed include bags of parboiled rice, millet, maize, and cash gifts worth more than one hundred and fifty million (150) million Naira.

    The beneficiaries, including party stalwarts, religious leaders, and members of trade unions, as well as security agencies, cut across the entire eleven (11) wards of the L.G.A. Other beneficiaries were Women and Youth Groups, as well as social media groups, the elderly, and the needy in society.

    A breakdown of the items distributed is as follows:
    i. Each of the eleven (11) wards of the L.G.A. got one million, six hundred thousand Naira (N1.6 million) in cash, fifty (50) bags of rice and twenty (20) bags each of millet and maize;
    ii. L.G.A. Executives – two million, eight hundred thousand Naira (N2.8 million) and twenty-eight (28) bags of 50kg rice;
    iii. Ward Executives – fourteen million, three hundred thousand Naira N14.3 million) and two hundred and eighty-six (286) bags of assorted grains;
    iv. Party Elders – one million Naira (N1 million) and forty-four (44) bags;
    v. APC Youth Group – one million Naira (N1 million) and twenty (20) bags;
    vi. APC Youth Group (2nd Category) – one million Naira (N1 million) and twenty (20) bags;
    vii. APC Youth Group (3rd Category) – one million Naira (N1 million) and twenty (20) bags and
    viii. Religious Leaders – one million Naira (N1 million) and twenty (20) bags.

    Other beneficiaries of the Minister’s benevolence include;
    ix. Traditional Rulers – two million Naira (N2 million) and 50 bags;
    x. Social Media Group – one million Naira (N1 million) and twenty-five (25) bags;
    xi. Women Groups – five hundred thousand Naira (N500,000) and twenty-five (25) bags;
    xii. Security Agents – fifty (50) bags;
    xiii. Workers’ Union – five hundred thousand Naira (N500,000) and twenty (20) bags;
    xiv. New Decampees to APC – five hundred thousand Naira (N500,000) and 20 bags;
    xv. Party Stakeholders – one million Naira (N1 million) and 50 bags and
    xvi. Many other groups and venerable individuals, too numerous to mention.

    The Event was graced by the Executive Chairman of Goronyo Local Government Area, Engr. Zubairu Yari, APC Chairman, Alh. Saidu Muhammad, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, Alh. Hussaini Umar Gorou, Special Adviser to the Governor on Legislative Matters, Hon. Faruku Ahmadu Rimawa, Hon Aminu S. Rima, Secretary, Goronyo L.G.A., Hon. Shehu Garba Goronyo, APC Youth Leader, Goronyo L.G.A., Alh. Ado Taloka, Alh. Sani Umar Shinaka, Special Assistant, Alh. Salihu Dan Kalawi, as well as thousands of Party Supporters.

    The beneficiaries were full of praises and eternally thankful to the performing Minister for the life-saving intervention and Godly gesture.

    Rt. Hon. Goronyo assured the people of the unwavering commitment of His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmad Tinubu, GCFR to improving the quality of lives of Nigerians through various policies and programmes under the Renowned Hope Agenda, which cuts across many sectors.
