SUPER Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, who currently stars for Galatasaray, has been embroiled in a controversy following an alleged altercation with a journalist.
According to reports from Turkish media outlet Posta, the prolific forward allegedly assaulted a journalist at the exit of the entertainment venue he went to with his friends in Turkey.
The situation escalated when the striker, seemingly annoyed by the presence of a reporter, reacted aggressively.
Tolga Bozduman, the journalist at the center of the allegation, recounted the altercation.
“I was filming Osimhen as he exited, accompanied by three colleagues. When the camera flashes stopped, he became furious. He rushed towards me, shouting, and attempted to grab my camera. When I refused to let go, he punched me. It still hurts. Then he started swearing and said, ‘Destroy the photos, I’ll give you money.’ I refused, and he threatened me, saying, ‘I’ll destroy you.’
The 26-year-old made a cryptic post on social media amid the disturbing allegations.
Taking to his Instagram story, Osimhen posted a famous video of Ghanaian comedian and TV host Akrobeto Akwasi Boadi laughing sarcastically, with no caption attached.
This meme, known for its humorous yet mocking tone, has already left fans puzzled.
Osimhen has been remarkable with Galatasaray with 15 goals and six assists already this season for the Turkish giants.
