PRESIDENT Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently presiding over the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting is taking place at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Also present at the ongoing meeting are the Vice President Kashim Shettima, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Walson-Jack, the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila and the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.
Just before the commencement of the FEC meeting proper, President Tinubu unaugurated Professor Dakas C.J Dakas as Chairman and Dr Uchenna Eugene as Commissioner, of the Nigerian Law Reform Commission.
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Akume, also announced to council members, the demise of Chief Audu Ogbeh.
Ogbeh who died last week was at one time the National Chairman of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and a minister of Agriculture during the administration of late President Muhammadu Buhari.
Council thereafter observed a minute silence for the soul of the departed elder statesman who Akume described as a patriot.
