    Tinubu Reappoints Abdul Mutallab Mukhtar As MD/CEO Of Family Homes Funds

    PRESIDENT Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the reappointment of Abdul Mutallab Muktar as the Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Family Homes Funds Limited (FHFL).

    This was disclosed in a statement by presidential spokesperson, Ajuri Ngalale on Tuesday.

    Mukhtar was initially appointed by Former President Buhari as MD in January 2023.

    Muktar served as the Senior Special Assistant to former President Buhari in the Office of the Chief of Staff working as part of the team of Professionals overseeing the implementation of some of the main objectives of the administration including the development of strategic national infrastructure and enhancing food security.

    He also has led teams and managed business offices to ensure the delivery of operational efficiency and increased revenues.

    Born on 9th June, 1975, in Katsina, Muktar has over 22 years in financial services. He is a corporate governance professional, having had enormous progressive experience in banking, business development, pension administration, and the public service.

    He has Master of Science (MSc.) in International Business Management from Berlin School of Economics and Law, Berlin, Germany; both Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in Business Administration from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Nigeria.

    He has wide working experience as Relationship Manager/Head Business Development at Access Bank Plc.; Regional Head at IEI Anchor Pension Managers Ltd.; and Operations/Business Development Officer at First Bank of Nigeria Plc.

    He has attended a range of professional courses and trainings on international financial systems, corporate governance, strategic planning; development and implementation, business process engineering, leading empowered teams for service quality, credit risk management for relationship managers, money laundering, fraud prevention, detection and control and asset liability management.

    The statement read in part:

    These appointments aim to strengthen the board and enhance the effectiveness of FHFL in addressing housing needs across the country.

    The appointments are “in furtherance of efforts by the federal government to consolidate activities aimed at energizing the growth opportunities within the real estate sector.”

    The appointees are:

    (1) Mr. Demola Adebise – Board Chairman.

    (2) Mr. Abdul Muttalab – Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director

    (3) Mr. Abdullahi Musa – Executive Director (Finance)

    (4) Mr. Emeka Henry Inegbu – Executive Director (Operations)

    (5) Representative of the Ministry of Finance Incorporated – (Non-Executive Director)

    (6) Representative of the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA) – (Non-Executive Director)

    (7) Mr. Sam Okagbue – (Non-Executive Director)

    (8) Mr. Musa Ahmed – (Non-Executive Director)

    (9) Dr. Eniang Nkang – (Non-Executive Director)

    (10) Ms. Bilkisu Usman – (Non-Executive Director)

    “The President expects that the new members of the board of this important agency will deploy their expertise, experience, and commitment to steer the Family Homes Funds towards achieving its mandate of driving growth and development in the real estate sector,” the statement added.
