DADA Yar’adua, mother of former President, Umaru Yar’adua, and former Chief of Staff, Supreme Headquarter to General Obasanjo’s military regime, General Shehu Yar’adua, is dead.
News Point Nigeria gathered that she died at the Katsina Teaching Hospital on Monday evening after a brief illness.
She also died at the age of 102 years.
Hajiya Dada was also the mother of Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua, the current Chairman, Senate Committee on Army.
Funeral prayer will be conducted at the Yar’adua’s family house, Yar’adua area of Katsina metropolis by 1:30pm on Tuesday.
Umaru Musa Yar’adua served as the president of Nigeria from 2007 until his death in May 2010.
He had previously served as the governor of Katsina State from 1999 to 2007.
