IN his resolve to ensure that workers in the state prepare for, and enjoy the yuletide, Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON has directed the immediate payment of December salaries of all civil servants in the state and their counterparts at the local government level.
The Governor directed the state Ministry of Finance and the Office of the Head of Civil Service to ensure that all workers and pensioners are paid their wages today, Thursday December 21 even if it means putting in extra hours of work.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya reiterated his administration’s continued commitment to the welfare of civil servants through prompt payment of salaries and and other entitlements.
It is worth noting that Gombe State has consistently upheld its responsibility towards its workers as exemplified by the prompt payment of salaries as well as continuous disbursement of the 10,000 naira palliative to all categories of civil servants. This act of care has persisted even when other states are yet to implement similar measures.
