THE Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has urged All Progressives Congress (APC) governors to work hard in their respective states to ensure the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
News Point Nigeria reports that Wike issued the warning while speaking at the inauguration of the APC Presidential Campaign Council in Abuja on Wednesday, declaring that any governor who failed to deliver his state for Tinubu should not join others in claiming victory if the President is re-elected in 2027.

The minister said he was committed to delivering Rivers State and the FCT to the President in the forthcoming election.
Wike said he was happy to see his name listed as the coordinator in charge of Rivers State and the FCT, adding that he had told the FCT area council chairmen that the people would vote for Tinubu because of the projects being executed in the territory.
“If you don’t deliver your state and the president wins, don’t say we have won. It is not a question of I am chairman of this, I am secretary of this, I am a member of this,” Wike said.

He added that Rivers State and the FCT were assured for Tinubu, challenging the area council chairmen to identify any council where the President’s presence had not been felt.
“Rivers and FCT, it is taken. I challenge any area council that can say they don’t see the presence of Mr President,” he stated.
The minister further stressed the need for governors to demonstrate their commitment to the President’s re-election by securing victory in their respective states.
“If you don’t deliver your state and the President win, don’t say we have won. I told the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, the other day that if the President did not win in Lagos, don’t say we have won,” Wike said.
Also present at the event was Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, who promised to hit the ground running in working towards Tinubu’s re-election.
