    Katsina Agog As Radda Tours Municipality

    KATSINA city was agog as All Progressives People Congress (APC) Gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Dikko Umar Radda  took his state wide tour to the state capital on sunday.

    The candidate and his entourage stormed the ancient city pulling large crowds after going round wards in the municipal local government area.

    Before  arriving at the emir of Katsina’s palace with swarms of supporters, the candidate had visited district heads in their domains where he addressed ward heads as well as Imams.

    Receiving the candidate in his palace, the emir of Katsina, Alhaji abdulmumini kabir Usman  declared his support for Dr. Radda whom he described as a blood relation.

    While describing the visit as home coming, the emir however advised the candidate to rule with fear of God if elected into power.

    Dr. Radda is a descendant of late emir of Katsina, Muhammadu Dikko.

    Speaking, Dr. Radda informed the emir the rationale behind the tour  and said he had been to 170 wards in 19 local government areas of the state.

    He also unveiled to the emir some of his programmes if elected which according to him would tackle the issue of insecurity, education and health among others.

    As a demonstration of show of strength,  Dr. Radda who thronged major streets with his entourage trekked to old township stadium, venue of the local government rally from the emir’s palace bringing the routes connecting to the location to a standstill.

    Overwhelmed by the huge crowds who have been waiting for him at the stadium, the candidate reiterates his commitment to deal fairly with every segment of the state and reassured the crowd not to disappoint them.

    He therefore urged people of Katsina state to vote wisely by choosing whom he described as their own.

    Also speaking, the state deputy governor,  Mannir Yakubu said Dr. Radda is the right choice to succeed his principal, Rt.Hon Aminu Bello Masari.

    The candidate also took time to visit the mother of former president, Umaru Musa Yar’aduwa  where prayers were offered for the repose of the souls of the late president and his brother Shehu Musa Yar’aduwa.

    Among the entourage that accompanied the candidate was Col. Abdulaziz Musa Yar’aduwa a.k.a Audu Soja, brother to the president who also holds the APC’s ticket for the Katsina central senatorial District.

    Others are, the state Deputy Governor,  Mannir Yakubu,  the APC  Deputy Gubernatorial candidate,  Hon   Faruk Jobe, the campaign council led by the Director General, Arc. Ahmad Musa Dangiwa, APC leadership, members of the state executive council, state and federal legislators, local government chairmen, candidate of various positions and party faithful among others.
