THE Kano State Council of Ulamas has called on residents of the state to attend a special prayer scheduled for Saturday to seek divine intervention for adequate rainfalls in the state.
Chairman of the Council, Sheikh Ibrahim Khalil, announced this in a statement, saying the decision was taken due to the inadequate rainfall being experienced this year, even when the rainy season has already progressed significantly.
The rain-seeking prayer was scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 12, at 9:00 a.m., at the Umar Bin Khattab Jumu’ah Mosque located along Zaria Road.
The Council urged the public to attend the prayer with sincerity and unity of purpose while seeking Allah’s mercy and blessings.
