THE Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially announced ticket prices and tough anti-racketeering measures for Saturday’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying showdown between the Super Eagles and Rwanda’s Amavubi at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, News Point Nigeria Sports gathered.
According to the federation, fans will gain access to the popular stands for ₦1,000, while the VIP section has been pegged at ₦3,000. Tickets will go on sale at designated centres across Uyo from Friday morning.
NFF’s Director of Marketing and Sponsorship, Alizor Chuks, while unveiling the details, said the federation has put stringent measures in place to check ticket fraud.
“It is important to let the general public know that the NFF Security Committee has declared total war on all ticket manipulators this time. Ticket fakers and racketeers will be dealt with.
“All tickets will be scanned at the gates. All intending spectators are advised to buy their tickets from accredited ticket sellers. Fake ticket sellers or holders will be arrested and prosecuted,” Chuks warned.
The Rwandan delegation, led by FERWAFA President Fabrice Shema Agoga, landed at the Victor Attah International Airport, Uyo, on Tuesday evening. The Amavubi Stars are currently lodged at the Ibom Hotel and Golf Resort and had their first training session at the Nest of Champions’ practice pitch on Wednesday.
On the Nigerian side, the Super Eagles’ camp is gradually swelling with stars. Ademola Lookman, the reigning African Player of the Year, and striker Cyriel Dessers joined the squad on Wednesday morning at their Ikot-Ekpene base.
More reinforcements were expected later in the evening, with Victor Osimhen and Samuel Chukwueze among the high-profile arrivals.
The atmosphere in Uyo is already building up as fans gear up to witness the Eagles take another step toward qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, billed for the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
The Godswill Akpabio Stadium, popularly called the Nest of Champions, is expected to be filled to capacity as Nigeria looks to grab all three points against Rwanda.
The match is crucial to both sides, as they continue their battle for qualification to the global football fiesta.
