Under the agreement, the two universities will collaborate in several key areas, including the exchange of faculty professors, researchers, students, publications, academic programmes and joint research projects.

The partnership is also expected to create opportunities for the exchange of faculty members and researchers, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate students. Scholarship opportunities and other mutually beneficial academic initiatives also form part of the areas covered by the agreement.

Speaking during the engagement, the President of MAAUN, Mohammad Israr, described the institution as a fast-growing centre of academic excellence.

Prof. Israr noted that the university, which was established in 2022, remains the second-best private university in Nigeria.

He explained that MAAUN currently runs 22 academic programmes and has continued to distinguish itself as one of the leading private universities renowned for sustainability, academic excellence and innovation.

In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor of NUST welcomed participants and provided an overview of the university. He expressed appreciation to MAAUN for hosting the engagement and facilitating the signing of the MoU.

According to him, the university remains dedicated to equipping students with relevant skills and enhancing staff development, while describing the partnership with NUST as both timely and beneficial.

Also contributing, the Head of the International Office, Bashir Garba, called for the swift implementation of the provisions contained in the MoU to ensure that the intended objectives and benefits of the partnership are realised without delay.

Similarly, Mrs. Janvhi expressed appreciation for the collaboration and highlighted the importance of future physical engagements between both institutions.
